Method welcomes Cameron Kellogg to the team

Method is pleased to announce the addition of seasoned racer Cameron Kellogg to our driver lineup. Cameron will represent Method RC at races throughout the Northwest. He will be running the Hellcat Type-R Short Course body on his Team Associated SC10 4x4.
I am super excited about running the new Hellcat short course body. Method's design process is very interesting, different from the other guys. I like that there was some thought put into the design besides just making big holes. I also like that their products are made in the USA.
I find that the Hellcat body has great high speed stability down the straight and through high speed corners. I am impressed with how much better it is over other bodies I've tried. I can enter corners with more speed and the truck remains very balanced through the corner. I can let off to get tighter or add throttle to push out and the truck stays balanced and predictable.

Please join us in welcoming Cameron to the team!

CRCRC Wrap-Up

The 2012 CRCRC Winter Midwest Championship Race is in the books. Method would like to congratulate all the racers who dedicated so much time, effort, and money to putting on a great show. This sport is all about passion and this race did not disappoint. Method's John Wegener demonstrated the true spirit of competition as he persevered through challenging circumstances to take home a second place finish in his Mod 2WD SCT race.

Arrived home a bit tired after the long six hour ride back to Michigan. I'm very happy with the results from the Mod 2WD SCT race where I finished 2nd, but pretty disappointed with the Mod 4WD SCT race as the glitching problem came back. Still finished 8th in the C-Main.
The event taught me a little more about being patient and preparing to the best of my ability. It was great meeting a lot of new racers, many of whom I've only known online. I was also excited to learn on Saturday that Venom Group and Trick Parts have come on-board as sponsors for this season. I'd also like to thank Method RC, Stevencycles.com, and Boca Bearings for their support.

John's Final Results:

Mod 2WD SCT - 2nd E-Main (13/5.23.208)
Mod 4WD SCT - 8th C-Main (12/5:23.705)

Once again, congratulations to all of the racers and especially to our own John Wegener. We're looking forward to a fun season of racing with John and others as we continue to grow the Method team. Stay tuned!

CRCRC - Qualifying is complete

It's been an exciting day of racing at The Ohio RC Factory for the 2012 CRCRC Midwest Championships. Method's John Wegener experienced all of the highs and lows of racing at a major event like this. Despite some glitching problems during one of his Mod 4WD SCT races, John dug deep, changed his electronics and found the speed he had been looking for. He finished 2nd in his last Mod 4WD SCT race and 1st in his final Mod 2WD SCT race, both trucks running the Hellcat Type-R body by Method.

"Missing practice on Wednesday put me behind with tuning as I've had absolutely no track time here outside of the scheduled races. Both trucks have come a long way. Being that this is only my second season of racing and this is the biggest race I've been to yet I am stoked with my performance!"

Tomorrow are the Mains. Follow the action live on LiveRC.com!

CRCRC Winter Midwest Championship Race

Like hundreds of other racers from around the country, Method's John Wegener has been preparing for the annual 2012 CRCRC Winter Midwest Championship race for weeks. Here's a report from John today as he finalizes preparations on his Hellcat bodied Losi XXX-SCT and Losi SCTE short course trucks and gets ready to head to the Ohio RC Factory in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

I must say that going into this race in Ohio, far from home I might add, has me a bit anxious!  I have gone through the trucks with a fine tooth comb to prepare and repair from last Saturday's  race.  I've never attended a race of this caliber, but I know I'm going to have a blast.  I do wonder constantly if I've crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's.  We shall see!  I have many friends attending this race and have recieved reports about tires, power settings, etc.  Looks like we have the right tires for the surface there.  Trucks are ready to go now so I'm working on changing the paint scheme on the Hellcat bodies; gotta look good and run smooth!  So at this point things are looking great!

Qualifying is this Friday and Saturday, January 13th and 14th, and the Mains are on Sunday. LiveRC will be carrying the racing action live so be sure to tune it to catch all the action!
